Suburbia Advertising Supports Biking to Work - Every Week
30 May 2008VICTORIA, BC – In time for Bike to Work Week 2008, Suburbia Advertising is pleased to support bike commuting by providing a free poster and a fuel saving calculator widget at its website www.suburbiaadvertising.com
“We support the use of bicycles as transportation to work, and Bike to Work Week seemed the natural time to launch this addition to our website”, says Chris Burdge, cycling enthusiast and Suburbia’s Director, Interactive Marketing. “We know the most important factors traditionally influencing people to bike to work include health and wellness, as well as fun. However, with rising gas prices and the growing popularity of green initiatives, we believe that more and more people are riding their bikes to save money and be good to the earth.”
The poster depicts locals riding past a gas station with fuel costs listed at $1.39 per
litre. The downloadable desktop widget will calculate your weekly savings as a bike commuter, based on the distance you commute and the current price of gas.
"As an organization, we are committed to contributing to the well-being of our planet and our staff,” says Mary-Lynn Bellamy-Willms, CEO and President of Suburbia Advertising. “Of course, as retail specialists, we would encourage people to consider some earth-friendly shopping with their savings – perhaps a nicer bike!”
Based in Vancouver and Victoria, Suburbia Advertising is a leading retail branding agency in Canada and one of BC’s top 10 ad agencies.
